The Remote Control Battle
A husband and wife were sitting on the couch watching TV when the husband suddenly grabbed the remote.
“I’m watching the game,” he announced.
His wife calmly replied, “We watched your game yesterday.”
“Yes, but this is a different game.”
She smiled and said, “Fine. You can watch it after I finish my show.”
The husband looked confused.
“But you’ve been watching that show for three hours!”
His wife nodded. “Exactly. I’m almost finished.”
He sighed. “How many episodes are left?”
She smiled sweetly. “I have no idea.”
The husband slowly handed the remote back.
“Here,” he said. “I suddenly remembered I have chores to do.”
She smiled. “Good choice.”
He whispered, “Marriage is basically learning when to surrender.”
